Interior Design has always been something that I love doing. My earliest memory of choosing a career in a creative industry was when I was in high school. I was inspired by a picture of a lamp in a brochure. Somehow it was so attractive, I could not stop looking at how the entire aesthetics of the room changed by just the presence of the lamp. I was drawn and just then decided I wanted to explore my strengths in design industry. While I was still completing my Bachelor's degree, I was studying Interior Designing as a secondary education, all in an old fashioned way, pencils and eraser. I was awarded a Diploma with first class in 6 months in 2003 and I continued my focus on completing my Degree in Bachelor in Arts, and graduated in 2006.
I did many jobs to make a living as a teenager, but the fun part was that every job I bagged had the fun element - visual merchandising, making the showroom look beautiful for customers to buy! Therefore, I chose to work for luxury home stores and retail stores where I could polish my skills and learn more everyday. Throughout my journey I have had a few excellent mentors too who helped me learn and supported me to grow.
I always had the dream to create small livable spaces , affordable yet sustainable. Just didn't know how. Therefore, I migrated to Canada, took an intense 3 year study on Interior Design Technology and graduated on April 2018.
I am a nature lover. My style is a blend of "vintage-modern" in an artful manner. Textures and materials inspired from nature encourage me. I live to design and my dream is to make this world a better place for everyone. Therefore, I will strive to promote sustainability and awareness to “Go Green”
